Our Mission
Hazardous materials training is an integral part of the majority of facilities throughout the nation. Whether it’s as an awareness level course to aid your employees in recognizing emergency situations or advanced technician level training that strengthens the foundation that already exists, Casper safety provides real-world quality training.
Our focus is to provide your employees with the highest quality training possible so that they will be ready to act to most emergency situations. We believe that training should be harder and more intense than the average emergency scene. By exposing each student to “worst-case” scenarios (and pushing them to their max), they will be more comfortable establishing scene control and managing a hazardous materials scene. It is with this self confidence and knowledge that allows students to quickly and effectively mitigate any type of release or hazmat incident that could happen at your facility.
What we do
It is with this “intense” concept in mind that we have created our hazmat courses. As mentioned above we offer Awareness, Operations, & Technician level hazardous materials training. Before each class, Casper Safety conducts a general analysis of your facility, operations, and potential hazmat hazards. After which, an all inclusive project bid will be given to you. This bid includes everything involved with the course and will not increase for any reason. We then use the information gathered from your facility to customize the class to meet all required content in a way that is completely applicable to your facility. All courses are in accordance with NFPA 472 and 29 CFR 1910.120.
We understand that there are hundreds of classes, training sessions, and other organizations that conduct general hazmat courses that provide valuable information; however students have no idea how it applies to their own facility. These courses include many hours of training that have no specific relevance to the operations involved at your facility. It is for these reasons why we conduct the general analysis of your facility so we know how to tailor the training into specific and applicable training.
Our Awareness level course is a one day class in which students are introduced to recognizing hazardous materials, the need for scene control and additional resources. This also includes training on isolating the incident & denying entry to un-authorized personnel. This course is designed for any individual or any facility that could experience any type of hazardous materials leak, spill, or other type of incident. The pricequote given to you includes all student materials, N.A Emergency Response Guidebook (for each student), training props, snacks, and the time spent developing the course.
Our Operations level course spans three days and is divided into two days of classroom instruction and one day of hands on scenarios. Students are taught the basics of PPE selection, establishing command, establishing scene control, and operational tactics that allow the Operations level responder to use defensive tactics to stabilize and control the incident. This course is for any employee and/or facility that plans to respond in a defensive manner to a hazardous materials incident (on or off your facility). Each course includes all student materials, N.A Emergency Response Guidebook (for each student), training props, snacks, complete use of our hazmat training trailer, and the time spent developing the course.
Our Technician level course is a very fast moving and very interactive course designed to prepare each student to enter a hazardous material hotzone and aggressively stabilize the situation through offensive means. This course is designed for students that have already been certified at the Operations level. Each course includes all student materials, N.A Emergency Response Guidebook (for each student), training props, snacks, complete use of our hazmat training trailer, and the time spent developing the course.
We also offer certain specialized classes including Terrorism Awareness, Weapons of Mass Destruction, The Incident Command System (NIMS), Advanced Hazmat situations, and much more! If you need a class that is not mentioned above, please contact us and we will assess your needs and create a specialized class that meets your requirements.
Again, we guarantee a quality training environment that tests every student mentally and physically. We believe that if a facility receives training far more difficult and challenging than most, the faster an actual incident can be stabilized and contained; which results in fewer loss production hours, greater revenue, more money saved, and all done in the safest manner possible.
Please contact us if you or your facility might need any type of hazardous materials training. We are dedicated toward working with you to meet your needs and provide you with the highest quality training at the lowest price possible.
